In March 2017, the President of Russian Railways signed Order No. 429r on amendments to the Corporate Identity Guidelines.
It is envisaged to put into effect section No.15 of the company's brand: “Requirements for the architecture and design of infrastructure facilities of the passenger complex of Russian Railways”.
This solution ensured the feasibility of a detailed study of the problem of maintaining aesthetics at a qualitative level, including the social factor, with the development of technical and architectural solutions for the renovation of the design of stations and stopping points of Russian Railways.
Requirements for the architecture and design of passenger facilities have been developed in order to bring the facilities of the passenger complex in line with international standards of technical aesthetics and ergonomics, to form a unified architectural style of passenger infrastructure - stopping points and stations - taking into account geographical, local historical and cultural characteristics, as well as to increase the image of the company.
In addition to the implementation of the quality standard for the design of objects, the document allows the use of tools of the extended color palette in their design. This makes it possible to implement a high-level design on elements, the shape and construction volumes of which in the typical design are not comfortable for perception.
